Stratton Pointe

Whoo Whoo

- N Scale Stratton Pointe Layout -

It started with one box, and in that box was, a transformer, a little oval track, and a train set, one train set, that's all... but, as you'll see below... it's still growing and growing and growing.  They say it's just a hobby, but I think they know, it will soon turn into an obsession!

I hadn't had a train set since I was a kid.  My parents got me one that had both, an HO train and HO cars, all on one layout.  Always have enjoyed watching the big trains, during this past Christmas break I decided to go into Ron's Train Showcase, located at the old Colorado Springs railway station (Now Giuseppe's). With Christmas money from my parents in hand, I entered with the intention, "just to look".

I came out of Ron's Train Showcase with the "Frontiersman".  A cute little "N" scale train set with the "Jupiter" steam engine, one of the engines at the driving of the golden spike in Utah... way back when it all started.

Harmless enough, cute little oval track placed on the floor.  I watched the train go round and round and round.  And that's how they get you... it's hypnosis!  That continuous circular motion... that's got to be it.

This was the end of PHASE 1, and just the beginning!
